Prescribed & Cultural Burning for Maintenance and Stewardship

Tuesday, Nov. 12: 9:30-12:00

Since time immemorial, fire has been used to maintain our forest ecosystems. Now, after decades of suppression, good fire is being welcomed back to the landscape, within communities and on public lands. Expert speakers will help detail the steps and importance of burning in our region, including discussion of the differences between prescribed and cultural burning – and what that means for partnerships and tribal involvement.
